Stressed out?  Rushed? So busy that your mind is confused and your body feels like you’ve been dragging through a desert?  You think, “just one more step, oh Lord just one more.”  Well my friend, you are not alone.  It seems that every time I pick up a magazine there is an article about busyness and stress. 

As Christians we know the time is short and there is so much to be done, so many souls to be won.  It seems there are not enough hours in a day.  But ahh my friend, there is blessed relief to all the frenzies of the day.  It is a place called the “Throne Room”, the place of absolute beauty and rest.  It is there in the Throne Room where you can sit back, put up your feet, breathe a sigh of relief and just relax in the beauty of holiness.  That’s where Jesus takes the cares of the day and wisps them all away while in His sweet presence.  

Does this sound too good to be true?  I assure you it is true. He waits for us to come in to His heavenly spa so He can massage us with His peace and love.  However, we must make the decision to go there.  The longer we stay away the more we will feel the pressures of excessive busyness.  May I add that this simply cannot be done on the run?  Psalm 55:22 tells us to “cast your burden (load) on the Lord, and He will sustain you.”  What a comforting thought.  Wherever you are this very moment I can feel the Lord’s presence.  Go ahead, sit back and relax in the glory of His peace and rest.
