How Long Lord?

by Shirley Tasch

When you are going through a trial does it seem like it’s taking forever to get through it?  Sometimes you may feel like screaming “God, where are you?”  David felt like that.

Psalm 13:1-2  (NIV)  1. How long, O Lord?  Will you forget me forever?  How long will you hide your face from me?  2. How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart?  How long will my enemy triumph over me?

While going through the process David declared to God, “ But I trust in you unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.  I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.”  Psalm 13: 5-6.

During those times of waiting for the manifestation of our breakthrough to come, is when we need to praise God with all that is within us.  Praise Him that He delivered us from the law of the spirit of death through the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.  (Romans 8:2)  As we lift praise to God and confess His word, it reverses the situation and the operation of the death cycle. It puts pressure on the problem and suddenly you find that you are more than a conqueror and the bursting forth of your breakthrough will come.  Hallelujah!

Blessings to you and remember . . .                          you are loved by Jesus and me,
