How to Thrive on Your Children’s Ministry Budget!

1.)                It’s not a money issue. It’s an accountability issue. Lk 16:10

2.)                Be sure there is no communication gap  between you and your senior pastor.

A.)  Often, children’s ministers do not have good interactive skills with adults. You must be able to communicate well with  parents, your workers, and the leaders above you.

B.)  Pastors are reluctant to be associated with anything that is silly and/or disorganized. A well-run Children’s Ministry draws the best workers and wins the respect of the entire church. 1Tim 4:12

C.)  Be sure your Pastor understands and is in agreement with your vision. Pro 29:18  If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.

3.)                Identify and prioritize your needs for both your children and your workers. Put it in writing. Hab 2:2

A.)  Plan your work, then work your plan.

4.)                Make it a matter of prayer. 3 John 2

A.)  Make your needs known to Him. Psm 37:4

B.)  Have faith!! Heb 11:6

C.)  Dream beyond your wildest expectations. Eph 3:20

5.)                Give God something to work with. Jas 2:17

A. )    Be grateful for what you have. Zech 4:10

B.)  If it’s broken, fix it.

C.)  If you can’t afford to buy it, make it.

D.)  Locate the talented people in your church.

i.)      Make announcements in the main services. Use skits.

ii.)     Put fliers in the bulletin.

iii.)   Troll the membership classes.

iv.)   Look for the short term help first.

E.)   Go for the biggest  bang for your bucks.

1.)         Don’t settle for a picture if you can have a mural.
