Okay. So things are different now of days.  Cares have taken over.  What’s happening here?  My desires toward the things of God seem to be weakening.  Is this you?  Do you ask this very question?  Now let me ask you a question. Where is most of your attention focused these days?  Here’s food for thought:  Whether good or bad, desire always follows attention.  Everyone knows that 10 follows 9.  That’s just the way it is. It is the same principle with desire following attention.

        When we begin to let our attention for God’s Word and His presence fall by the wayside, our desire for Him weakens.  Other things begin to take precedence. Where does this leave us? - in a place of frustration, emptiness, turmoil and unrest!  We begin to wonder what happened to our joy, peace, and the sense of security that comes from our relationship with the Father.

        Determining your desire depends on where your attention is focused. I encourage you not to allow your desires to turn to natural things more than God. We must keep our hearts and souls burning with a white-hot fervency for the things of God.  He is not satisfied with just a piece of our heart, but all of it.
