The Christmas Story

The Christmas story is the joyous message that announced the coming of Jesus Christ.  The word Christmas means, “anointed one’s celebration.”  The angel proclaimed, “…Behold I bring you good tidings of great joy…” (Luke 2:10).  Why “great joy?”  Because the anointed one is here.  It’s the celebration of “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power…It’s the celebration of how the anointed, Jesus…” went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil..” (Acts 10:38)

But the angel’s proclamation of great joy continued with, “…which shall be to all people. (V10) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (V11) The angel brought the news of a Savior…a Redeemer…a Healer…The Prince of Peace…not just to the Shepherds but also for generations to come, including us.

We can celebrate Christmas because God gave us the greatest gift we could ever receive – His Son, Jesus Christ.

During the holiday season more than ever, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our progress possible.  And, in this spirit we say simply but sincerely, thank you and may you have a wonderful holiday season filled with the peace and blessings of God.

Happy Birthday Jesus

Happy Birthday Jesus

Thanks for coming to earth

To forgive us and heal us

You came by Virgin birth

To Your mom and Your family you brought so much joy

Running and jumping as a happy little boy

As a grown man, You walked this earth’s sod

With power and authority the precious Son of God

The anointing upon You to deliver and heal

When people saw this, they knew You were real

While others crucified You on the cruel, ugly cross

Still you shed your blood so none would be lost

You arose from the dead

On that glorious Resurrection day

Giving freedom from hell

Death and the grave

As I gaze at all the lights

On our pretty Christmas tree

They remind me of Your splendor

Your glory and majesty

With excitement and anticipation I look to the sky

Knowing Your return is quickly drawing nigh

Being caught up to heaven by the sound of Your voice

With You forever we’ll shout and rejoice

From our home in Heaven we’ll never depart

So again – Happy Birthday Jesus - with all of my heart
