Here's my Christmas list daddy. I only want eight things!" During this time of year, as each day passes, the closer we get to the big day of the season. Christmas! What do you want for Christmas? Have you made your list yet? Have you gotten your shopping done? Christmas is right around the corner you know!

It's become all about presents, right? There's nothing that gives you more pride than seeing the excitement of a loved one opening the "one thing they always wanted," especially knowing you're the one who gave it to them.

Well, how about trying something different for a change? Why don't you add someone else to your Christmas list? I know. Your list is probably already pretty long.

You may even wonder how you're going to afford to buy all those presents. Yet, I have the gall to ask you to add still another name to your list. Who am I talking about? God, our Heavenly Father. If it were not for Him, we would have nothing to celebrate. He did, after all, give us the greatest gift of Jesus. Without Jesus how could we be saved?

Why not ask Him what He wants this Christmas? You might be surprised with His response. Maybe He would ask you to feed a needy family. Perhaps He would suggest that you support a missionary or possibly rake the yard of an elderly person. Or maybe, He might ask for the "one thing" that only you can give Him; the gift of you. That's right. You. All of you and nothing less. Giving this gift to God quite possibly will be the best gift you could ever get!
